Restoring Dissolved Companies through Court Order

Companies dissolved due to deregistration can apply to the Court of First Instance for restoration of their registration.

Under Section 765 of the new Companies Ordinance, companies can file an application with the Court of First Instance (Court of First Instance) seeking a court order to restore their registration.

Restoring Dissolved Companies through Administrative Restoration

Companies dissolved by the Registrar of Companies striking their names off the Companies Register can apply for restoration of their registration either by court order or through “administrative restoration.”

Eligibility for Administrative Restoration:

  • The company’s name must have been struck off the Companies Register by the Registrar of Companies.
  • The company must have been dissolved.

Application Process:

  • The applicant must submit relevant documents to the Registrar of Companies to reflect the latest status of the company.
  • The Registrar of Companies may also impose any additional conditions deemed appropriate.
